Launch of Met Police new Stop & Search Charter – March 2025

The Jarrett Foundation played a pivotal role in the launch of the Metropolitan Police’s new “Stop & Search Charter”. We facilitated the engagement of approx. 90 young people at New Scotland Yard, providing them with a platform to share their personal experiences of being stopped by the police. This groundbreaking Charter is the first of its kind, where the Met Police start with a blank slate and genuinely consult the public—particularly young voices—to shape a fairer and more transparent approach to stop and search. The event marked a significant step towards building trust and accountability within communities.
